MEĐUNARODNO UMREŽAVANJE

Study visit to the Autonomous Cultural Center AKC Attack in Zagreb / Twinning program

The collaboration between AKC Gnezdo (Kruševac, Serbia) and AKC Attack (Zagreb, Croatia) aims to strengthen the regional independent music scene through the exchange of knowledge in running music residency programs. AKC Gnezdo will learn from AKC Attack’s experience in supporting emerging artists and organizing residencies, while also showcasing its own local music programs.

Cultural exchange North–South

The focus of the initiative is on networking and connecting two independent cultural spaces located in strategically distant parts of Serbia, as well as their members, audiences, and visitors.

Through the two-day open-air GNEZDO FEST, the focus will be on the reflections and programs of actors from the independent cultural scene, encouraging mutual cooperation and networking, and highlighting their importance in the cultural life of the community.

The place of culture in the life of Kruševac

Fakiri sa juga, a member of AKC Gnezdo, carried out a four-year analysis of the city’s cultural funding competition and prepared recommendations for improving both the competition itself and its procedures.

Alternative cultural center Gnezdo

The initiative provides core support that would strengthen the self-management of the beneficiary’s alternative cultural centre Gnezdo, raise the internal capacities and as a result strengthen and expand the local community of engaged artists and activists.

The idea of the project is to establish and promote the **Gnezdo model as a social service**, through which young people are encouraged and empowered to articulate their needs, actively participate in management and decision-making, and create and implement programs they initiate themselves—such as festivals, workshops, and leisure activities.

ANIMEFEST brings together young people who are part of the community of fans of Japanese anime series (a type of animated cartoon) and manga (a type of Japanese comic book), and it is a unique event of this kind both in the city and beyond.

ANTI-HERO OF MY CHILDHOOD

Fakiri sa juga from Kruševac and the inclusive youth film club MOJ Krupni PLAN, led by UG Satibara, will bring together teenagers from Kruševac at the Alternative Cultural Center Gnezdo to jointly “heal the frustrations” caused by social challenges through an artistic process—while learning along the way.

VOLONTERIZAM

INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER CAMP 2019./ GNEZDO ART COLONY

The stay of a group of international volunteers will draw the attention of the local community to AKC’s program and to the needs of young people for contemporary cultural content. Joint workshops will contribute not only to the acquisition of knowledge and skills in the field of visual arts, but also to the exchange of experiences and the learning about other cultures.

Sustainability Academy

As part of the Sustainability Academy program of the Trag Foundation, we will launch a community fundraising campaign to install heating in the premises of AKC Gnezdo. If we succeed, the foundation will match the amount raised.
