If you are interested in using Gnezdo regularly, it is usually expected that you have already used the space occasionally and that Gnezdo members are familiar with your work or organization, needs, and program. In that case, you should express your interest in regular use via email or at the monthly Open Meeting of Gnezdo.
Regular users are those who agree to the terms of use and maintenance of the space, act in accordance with Gnezdo’s values, and whose work raises no objections from the Gnezdo collective (whether an organization, informal group, or individual applying).
The space can be used for performances, exhibitions, rehearsals, trainings, discussions, screenings, presentations, education, production, creative work, etc. Public events have priority when scheduling.
You can find detailed principles and conditions of use in the official Rulebook for using AKC Gnezdo, available on the website.
Gnezdo has a certain pool of equipment available when needed (projector, lights, cables, sound system, instruments, chairs, tables, tatami mats).
If the equipment is available on your chosen date, it can be provided by prior agreement when booking your time slot.
Preparation, organization, and execution of programs are your responsibility. You are also responsible for:
obtaining equipment that Gnezdo does not have
connecting all technical equipment
covering repairs in case of damage caused by improper use
An exception applies to music events, where equipment should not be used before the sound technician arrives.
If you are new and using Gnezdo for band rehearsals, you will receive initial assistance from a technician until you are able to use the equipment independently. Before using equipment, consult members who have prior experience with it.
Gnezdo is heated with a wood-fired boiler located on the upper floor, distributing heat via radiators throughout the main space.
It takes approximately:
2 hours (November, December, March)
up to 5 hours (January, February)
If you want to use the space during winter, you need to provide a person to maintain the fire before and during your program.
Gnezdo provides firewood for public programs during winter through its projects, while heating for rehearsals must be arranged by users themselves.
Act responsibly
Respect house rules and usage principles
Leave the space in its original condition
Smoking inside the premises
Making infrastructural changes without consulting other users
Discrimination, harassment, prejudice
Religious or political party programs
The main source of funding comes from projects implemented by Fakiri sa juga or Gnezdo as an informal group.
A smaller portion of funding comes from the associated economic activities of the organization, as well as donations from citizens.
