Thursday is jam session day. We have some instruments, but it would be great if new ones joined in as well. If your instrument requires cables, please bring them along.
We are pleased to inform you that on Friday, November 17, AKC Gnezdo will host Valentino DeVasco—a young Peruvian artist, musician, and traveler who has spent the past four years tirelessly journeying across the world, promoting the idea of sustainable cultural tourism.
Having traveled far from his native Peru, through Central and North America, Russia, India, Cambodia, Nepal, and Moldova, he has now reached the Balkans—a region where he has found a strong sense of belonging.
Our guest will present a travel-music evening, performing on the charango (a string instrument originating from South America), and showcasing music from around the world. His repertoire is the result of years of learning about the cultural and musical traditions of each country he has visited.
The hallmark of his musical expression is a blend of progressive alternative folk, Latin, and reggae influences, creating a unique and engaging sound. He performs cover songs from more than 20 countries, singing in multiple languages.
Join us and enjoy the inspiring stories of this remarkable young artist!
