Theatricality of Protest / GNEZDO FEST

"Theatricality of Protest" is a performative lecture created by participants of the Young Theatre Experts programme as the outcome of research into the protest actions of the student movement during 2024 and 2025.

Starting from the premise that aesthetics and politics are inseparable in moments of profound social upheaval, and following a methodology that emerged organically from the subject of observation itself, the authors—being university and high school students who actively participated in the movement—conducted their research largely through autoethnographic methods. This approach enabled them not only to articulate their immediate experiences, but also to create space for self-reflection, self-critique, and a re-examination of individual positions within collective experiences. The performative lecture "Theatricality of Protest" stands as a living document of a powerful social potential for change.

Young Theatre Experts is a free and open programme of critical practice for young people, established in 2018 and created, developed, and led by the TRI GROŠA collective.
