String art workshop

We invite you to another Women’s Day, on Saturday, May 5th at 2 PM, this time in the inspiring and creative space of AKC Gnezdo!

In our wish to learn new skills and try something out of the ordinary, we have chosen a String Art workshop, also known as “the art of thread.” To create an effective graphic piece, we only need a few basic materials: a solid base, small nails, and colorful yarn or soft wire. From there, the creation of a unique small artwork can begin!

The workshop will be led by artist Kaća Dimitrijević, a graduate painter and founder of AKC Gnezdo.

Women’s Day is designed as a program of free workshops with various creative and educational content, intended for women and girls, aiming at empowerment, support, personal development, and a higher quality of life. It is implemented in Kruševac as part of the project “Joint Initiative Against Gender-Based Violence Towards Young Women in Serbia”, carried out by the Alternative Center for Girls in partnership with the Center for Education and Counseling Catalyst from Belgrade, with the support of the Swedish foundation Kvinna till Kvinna.
