The interactive project “Prelo”, which won second prize in this year’s Gnezdo Gallery competition, aims to create a sculptural object through a guided participatory performance, bringing together the Etno Rasina craft workshop, interested members of the local community, and sculptor Lena Jovanović.

Following a conceptual sketch representing two systems oriented towards one another (ars and techne), expressed through predetermined positions within concentric circles, participants will create a woollen art object on site. The resulting work will bring together the conclusions reached during the project about the interweaving of contemporary art and traditional crafts in this region.

The event will be documented, and the documentation will be presented in an exhibition after the practical part of the project has been completed, together with the newly created object.

Everyone interested is invited to attend and take part in the discussion and/or collective work (crocheting and knitting) on Saturday, 9 November.
