Continuation of the project “Kulturociklin” was created out of the need for a creative dialogue about extraordinary circumstances and a critical examination of the issues they bring.
Continuation of the project “Kulturociklin” was created out of the need for a creative dialogue about extraordinary circumstances and a critical examination of the issues they bring.
Shaped as documentary material in the form of cabaret, vaudeville, and circus elements in visual identity and acting expression, with the removal of the fourth wall and unconventional staging—“Kulturociklin 2m” is a carnivalesque image and a kind of exploration and journey from distance and isolation toward searching for others and community. It emphasizes the importance of care, responsibility, ethical and ecological awareness, and dignity.
While also continuing to explore the theme of culture, “Kulturociklin 2m” expands it to the culture of human rights and the culture of mental and emotional health, with the aim of inspiring and empowering participants to understand responsibility and engagement as personal, as well as to encourage creative encounters and spaces for the exchange of different voices and perspectives.
“Kulturociklin” is an informal artistic initiative created from the idea of providing young people with an alternative approach to art education. In its work, it uses techniques and methodologies of physical, expressive, process-based, socially engaged, documentary, and educational participatory theatre, where the creative process is central—participants as authors and the audience as participants.
The program is accompanied by workshops, laboratories, and research work on creative drama. The artistic leader of “Kulturociklin” is Sandra Maksimović, Master professor of Serbian language and literature, writer, and drama pedagogue.
