The workshop “Communication and Learning in Dogs” aims to improve the quality of life for both us and our dogs. It also seeks to positively impact the lives of other dogs and people you encounter—by equipping you with knowledge you can gain during the session.
Most “problems” we may have with our dogs stem from misunderstandings of their nature and the signals they send us, as well as unclear messages we send to them—often reinforced by common myths about dogs. Improving this communication can lead to significant changes in your dog’s behavior, often without requiring extra training time.
We will talk about how dogs learn and how to apply that knowledge in everyday life—whether to teach new behaviors or change existing ones. A dog should always trust us, and everything can be taught without punishment or causing discomfort. There will also be time to exchange experiences and answer your questions—and much more.
The workshop is led by Milan Stupljanin, who holds a Master’s degree in Social Policy and Social Work and has been working professionally with dogs since 2016 as an educator, behavior consultant, and pet dog trainer. He entered the field through the Cynology Academy in Belgrade under the mentorship of Dunja Kovač, and continues his education through various seminars. He has also worked with organizations such as Srećna njuška, shelters, and training centers internationally.
You can register to attend the workshop together with your dog. If your dog is comfortable in larger groups and gets along well with other dogs, send a short video along with a description to akc.gnezdo@gmail.com. Up to 2–3 dogs will be selected—not as the main focus, but to help interpret body language and demonstrate positive training techniques in practice.
The number of participants is limited. Participation is free, but prior registration is required.
