KAVASUTRA (Slovenia) + Ukor (Serbia)

Kavasutra is a quartet from the Creative Zone Vrtojba, contributing to Slovenia’s creative music scene.

All members come from the school of Zlatko Kaučič, where they have spent years refining their musical expression, which they continue to develop not only within Kavasutra but also through numerous other projects.

This year they released their second album Ta veseli dan via the record label of Radio Študent – Zarš. With the new album come new inspirations, drawn from deep exploration of progressive rock, jazz, grunge, and 1970s rock. Their music also reflects the band’s admiration for Frank Zappa and Marko Brecelj.

Kavasutra seeks authenticity in their music, aiming to be socially critical while not taking themselves too seriously, all seasoned with a good dose of irony and humor.

UKOR has been active since 1998, and the current lineup consists of:

• Paja Miljković — drums

• Stefan Miljković — guitar

• Ivan Djorgović — vocals

• Stevan Vukoević — vocals

The band released the album Svi ovi dani in 2004, along with numerous demo and single recordings available on YouTube.
