Twisted Stories: The Real Cinderella

The performance combines audio storytelling, acting, contemporary dance, interactive games, costumes, music and lighting design. The story is transformed into a self-contained hybrid performance lasting up to 45 minutes.

During the performance, children sit on the floor around the edges of the space, forming a circle, while all the action takes place in the centre.

The performances follow the “relaxed performance” concept, in which audience reactions are welcomed and incorporated into the performance. Children’s spontaneous behaviour is accepted as an integral part of the experience, which is particularly important for children with Down syndrome, children on the autism spectrum, and others who may benefit from a more flexible and inclusive performance environment.
