Author’s note:

Do you ever feel like you are trapped in the wrong era? As if something is missing—something that has disappeared in today’s world? As if there is a part of you that wants to wake up in a time when phones did not exist, and when today’s cultural idols were still alive?

Why am I asking all this? Because I want to take you on a journey. From the stars to the sky. From the shining Hollywood divas to the gods of ancient times.

Because people like Matt Damon have their own place in the history of pop culture. But this is not only about pop culture—this is chaos. Everyone who appears interesting, everyone who is relevant in some way—whether from a personal or general point of view—may have found their way onto these pages. Perhaps even some people who are not essential to history, but might become so at some point, will find a place here. Maybe.

This is a story of history that we are not taught in school. Except for the gods, you hardly hear about anyone else in history class. This lesson of history stands upside down, and I want to tell it that way.

Jovana Petrović is currently completing her second year of high school in the philology program for gifted students.
In 2016, she held her first solo exhibition at the Cultural Center Kruševac, which included 32 works.
