FRIENDS, WE INVITE YOU TO A HUMANITARIAN GATHERING “TEAM FOR MITA” (June 14, 2019, at AKC Gnezdo)
organized to raise funds for the treatment of young Dimitrije Lazić, our little fellow citizen from Kruševac.
The evening will be brightened by our friends from the well-known band Crveni Karton, while punk hits will also be revisited with the help of Dangube. The night will be further enriched by talented local musicians from Kruševac (Ivan Đokić, Stevan Dobrota, Zlatko Petković, Dragi Živković, and others).
More details coming soon!
Please share and make sure to come!
Entry: minimum donation of 200 RSD or SMS 606 to 3030
Dimitrije was born prematurely, in the 33rd week, by emergency C-section, as the first twin, weighing 1670 grams, with an Apgar score of 1/3. Just a few hours after birth, he was transferred to the Institute for Neonatology in Belgrade, where a four-and-a-half-month-long fight for his life began. He was on mechanical ventilation, in an incubator, and has undergone five surgeries so far, with more to come.
Dimitrije has a rare genetic disorder called CHARGE syndrome, which slows his development. He still cannot crawl or walk, cannot feed himself, has a tracheostomy, does not speak, and has complete hearing loss.
Despite everything, he is a cheerful and lively boy, almost always smiling. He loves cuddling, playing with his sister, and watching cartoons.
He urgently needs rehabilitation and intensive developmental and physical therapies—such as treatments at the Institute for Human Potential Development—to give him a chance to catch up with his peers and develop like them.
Send SMS 606 to 3030 and join us at the event. You can also support him through bank transfers or online donations.
Let’s make Dimitrije’s childhood easier.
Let’s be a team!
