BODY PAINT BY MARIJA VUČETIĆ

We are pleased to invite all interested participants to a body painting class, led by our young fellow citizen Marija Vučetić.

She will share her journey of discovering the world of makeup, face painting, and body art—what materials and colors she uses, how she applies them—and will hold a live demonstration, i.e., a body painting session.

Marija is 20 years old and studies architecture in Niš. She has been actively involved in makeup, face, and body art for the past two years. At the end of last year, she won first place at the international competition “One Color One Passion,” and this year she became the winner of the NYX competition in Serbia in the category of best “doll” look.

Voting for Novo ime Srbije (New Name of Serbia) is open until the end of October, where Marija is also a participant—so we invite you to support her!

Body painting is an art form thousands of years old, traditionally used in ceremonies such as weddings, funerals, initiations, and even warfare, as well as a symbol of status. Evidence of body pigmentation has been found across Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas, and Australia.

In recent years, this form of artistic expression has gained popularity in the film industry, music festivals, and international body painting competitions.

The entrance fee is a symbolic 200 RSD, which will go toward covering heating and makeup costs.
