Warm recommendation for all DJs, sound engineers, musicians, and anyone who would like to learn more about this! We are hosting distinguished guest producers from around the world, who will be staying in the city for one week and are ready to share their knowledge in music production through a workshop taking place from October 19 to October 29 during their stay. Registration is required.
On this workshop, you will learn how to create your first compositions, regardless of your level of musical knowledge. We will teach you how to use the Ableton Live software for music creation. With basic knowledge, you will be able to record your own musical ideas.
📍 The workshop has two main focuses: the creative phase and the mixing phase.
In the creative phase, you will become familiar with the software interface, its various audio channels, general controls, and the steps for starting a new project. We will explore the use of the editor and take a closer look at tabs such as Clip and Sample, as well as different Audio Warp modes. You will learn how to record and monitor external audio, and understand how different tools function.
We will also dive into the world of MIDI instruments, such as the piano roll and keyboards. You will discover MIDI recording mode, MIDI effects, quantization, and the Groove Pool. We will show you how to combine MIDI tools with audio tools to unlock your creativity, offering various workflow and creative tips.
However, in music production, creativity alone is not enough to achieve professional sound quality. That is why the mixing phase is essential.
Mixing phase:
In this mixing course (in-the-box), you will learn how to use techniques and tools to make the right decisions in order to achieve professional sound quality.
The focus will be on equalization, compression, panning, stereo imaging, saturation, effects such as reverb and delay, system metering, and creative application in our tracks.
Mixing allows elements to interact and communicate with each other, achieving clarity and positioning. It enables every note, chord, and rhythm to become tangible, allowing you to visualize the shape, size, and texture of each sound.
