Alternativni centar za devojke, in cooperation with the Free Zone Film Festival and AKC Gnezdo, invites you to the 15th Free Zone Film Festival Tour.
Film screenings will take place at AKC Gnezdo (Živorada Stankovića bb).
Admission is free.
This year’s program includes six films, screened from July 16 to July 18, 2021, as follows:
🎬 6:00 PM – “Undine” (fiction)
Directed by Christian Petzold (Germany, 2020, 91’)
Is the search for true love just a myth? Perhaps that’s why the heroine is named Undine, like the water nymphs who take revenge on lovers who betray them.
🎬 8:00 PM – “Glory to the Queen” (documentary)
Directed by Tatia Skhirtladze and Anna Khazaradze (Austria, Georgia, Serbia, 2020, 82’)
During the Cold War, four legendary Georgian chess players revolutionized women’s chess and became Soviet icons of female emancipation.
🎬 6:00 PM – “Yalda, A Night for Forgiveness” (fiction)
Directed by Massoud Bakhshi (France, Iran, Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, 2019, 89’)
In Iran, a TV reality show can replace justice. Maryam, sentenced to death, must seek forgiveness live on television from her victim’s daughter.
🎬 8:00 PM – “But Beautiful” (documentary)
Directed by Erwin Wagenhofer (Austria, Germany, 2019, 116’)
A reflection on what makes a good and meaningful life, showcasing people who create innovative and positive change.
🎬 6:00 PM – “Sune – Best Man” (fiction)
Directed by Jon Holmberg (Sweden, 2019, 90’)
Sune faces a dilemma between a school trip with the girl he likes and his grandfather’s wedding—where he’s supposed to be the best man.
🎬 8:00 PM – “Rocca Changes the World” (fiction)
Directed by Katja Benrath (Germany, 2019, 101’)
Brave and unconventional, 11-year-old Rocca proves that even a child can change the world with optimism and courage.
