Open Call “Space for More” for Independent Socio-Cultural Centers
Zaječarska inicijativa, in cooperation with Omladinski centar CK13, Fakiri s juga, and K-Town Group, announces a call for project proposals entitled “Space for More.” The call is intended for existing independent socio-cultural centers and initiatives working to establish new spaces for culture, community engagement, and civic participation across Serbia.
The aim of the call is to strengthen the resilience and long-term sustainability of independent socio-cultural centers, particularly outside major urban areas, enabling them to continue developing spaces for gathering, cultural production, dialogue, and active citizen participation within local communities.
The total budget of the call is EUR 80,000.
Applications may be submitted by:
registered civil society organizations (associations, foundations, and endowments),
informal groups from the Republic of Serbia that manage an existing socio-cultural center or are working to establish a new space.
The call supports projects within two priority areas:
LOT 1 – Cultural Production and Visibility of Socio-Cultural Centers
Projects are supported that promote the values of socio-cultural centers as spaces of freedom, collaboration, and citizen participation through art, culture, and community engagement. Special emphasis is placed on involving young people and local artists, as well as fostering cooperation among various actors within the independent cultural scene.
LOT 2 – Public Advocacy for Better Working Conditions and Development of Socio-Cultural Centers
Projects are supported that aim to improve the working conditions and development of socio-cultural centers through public campaigns, research, dialogue with local stakeholders, partnership development, and policy recommendations.
Grant amounts:
for registered organizations: from EUR 10,000 to EUR 15,000
for informal groups: from EUR 3,000 to EUR 5,000
Project duration may range from 5 to 8 months.
In addition to financial support, grant beneficiaries will receive mentoring support throughout project implementation.
